Northbrook College is the principal provider of work-related further education in an area centred on the south coast town of Worthing. We are also the largest provider in West Sussex of undergraduatecourses for the creative and cultural industries. The College additionally has contracts for Apprenticeship training, Adult and Community Learning and we provide courses in most work-related areas as well as those for personal development.
As the name suggests we are a company that finds learners for colleges and learning providers. We are well known for providing free and funded NCFE distance learning courses and VRQ based learning. Wealso have a team of qualified inductors, and can induct learners onto distance learning courses, complete on site pre NVQ Apprenticeship Health and Safety checks. We provide a full market consultation and we can design flyers and set up websites for you as part of our service.
The work of the College, originally established in 1852 as Shoreham Grammar School, is based largely on traditional lines and aims at a thorough preparation for the GCSE examinations. Entry can be atany stage between Early Years and Year 11. Both scholarships and bursaries are available. Despite our non-selective policy, our pupils frequently achieve high grades in GCSEs, well above the national average.
Oathall musicians went along to watch Ensemble Reza's cellist Sarah Carvalho-Dubost and guest bassoonist, Susana Dias for a lunchtime concert at the Haywards Heath Methodist Church in Perrymount Roadlast week. They were treated to a varied and very interesting programme which included music by Beethoven, Brahms and The Pink Panther theme.
